Privacy Policy
Last updated July 4, 2026
The Tech Search (thetechsearch.com) is a product-research publication. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do.
What we collect
We do not offer accounts, logins, comments, or newsletters, so we never ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details. The only data we receive is standard, aggregated analytics described below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides people read and how they found us (for example: page views, approximate region, device type, and clicks on outbound retailer links). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google's use of this data is described in Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by using any standard content/tracking blocker.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visits. Amazon may set cookies when you follow one of our affiliate links so purchases can be attributed to us. We do not set our own tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site works fine without them.
Affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you buy through a link on this site, Amazon pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects which products we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data — we don't hold any.
- We do not run advertising networks or third-party ad trackers.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Third-party sites
Links to Amazon and other external sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies once you leave ours.
Changes
If our practices change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
